MICHELLE + NICK'S WEDDING I FOXTAIL COUNTRY CLUB, ROHNERT PARK, CA
Several weeks ago we traveled north to Rohnert Park to photograph Michelle & Nick's wedding day. Then completely out of the blue we were hit with rain clouds. What was to be a September wedding under the blue skies on a lush, green golf course became an impromptu indoor celebration.
There's an old saying that rain on your wedding day is a lucky omen and for Michelle & Nick, we definitely believe that to be the case. The Italians even have a saying for it, "Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata", which means that a wet bride is a lucky bride, and as everyone who knows them can attest; it's just as romantically apropos as their first date.
Emotions were high, laughter filled the room, and love was definitely in the air despite the change of plans. We relished every moment of it with Michelle & Nick. Here are a few of our favorite images captured that day. Enjoy!

SARAH+CHRIS'S WEDDING! | CARMEL, CA
Appropriate for this lovely, breezy, Bay Area summer we're having is Sarah & Chris's gorgeous wedding we shot under the blue skies of Pebble Beach on the cliffs of historic 17-Mile Drive in Carmel.
Sarah & Chris currently live in Washington DC, and chose to have their wedding reception at a very special place close to their hearts - Sarah's families estate, Casa De La Estralla. The only way to describe it is to imagine walking through the home where Frances Mayes lived in "Under the Tuscan Sun."
Casa De La Estralla has been in Sarah's family for three generations. Guests relished in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the golf course in the near distance... Black and white wedding photos of Sarah's grandparents were on display in the dining room and guests were seated at intimate table settings throughout the home. A fountain bubbled in the courtyard under the twinkling lights where guest's laughter filled the rooms of the estate. The day was full of such charming detail, and fragrantly full of lavender, one of Sarah's favorites! The stunning flower bouquets reminded us of fresh picked garden herbs and wildflowers, and the bride looked so blissfully relaxed and happily in the moment all day long.
Sarah & Chris are such a loving couple with a loving family. It was such a delight to work with them and celebrate at such an intimate venue. It was a memorable day for us indeed! We hope you enjoy some of our favorite images...

DANIELLE + BOBBY | GET MARRIED!!
It's certainly been a busy month for all of us... But we couldn't let the week go by without posting some of the sublime images from Danielle & Bobby's wedding at the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco. Joey, Brian & Jen captured every elegant detail of the event and it was certainly de grande tenue!
Danielle looked so regal with an updo and a beautiful tiara in her hair. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off of her! You may remember Danielle & Bobby's romantic engagement shoot a few months ago...

Venue | Berkeley City Club
I’m so excited to share with you some of my favorite images from Lisa and Theo’s wedding at the intimate Berkeley City Club. Everything about the day was classy -- Especially Lisa & Theo. Lisa had the most intriguing bouquet I think I've ever seen! and we had such a blast with the wedding party shooting in the gardens... The City Club is such a hauntingly, gorgeous venue to get married. Designed by Julia Morgan in the 1920's, the architecture, the gardens, the pool room, the ballroom... it was all exquisite. You could feel the history in even the tiniest details. I’ve never shot a wedding in a castle before, but I imagine this is what it might feel like!

KAREN + JEREMY MARRIED | SAN FRANCISCO
What can I say about Karen & Jeremy? Words couldn't describe everything, so I had to create a storyboard to share with you... Karen & Jeremy are the couple you want to hang out with every Friday AND Saturday night. They have exquisite taste, were so attentive to detail, and have the warmest smiles which are totally contagious. Their Jewish ceremony was held on the rooftop of the Hotel Vitale and was one of the most endearing and honest I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. Jeremy had us all in tears, and the rabbi had us all in stitches!
We also want to do a shout out to our friend who also contributed to Karen & Jeremy's wedding; The always amazing Huckleberry Karen who put together the most gorgeous flowers this side of the Bay.

LINDSAY + PATRICK | ENGAGED!

As our final post for May, we're going to leave you with one of my favorites -- An engagement session we shot for Lindsay and Patrick who are quite the dapper couple. Isn't she cute as a button? Lindsay loves the retro film noir look of Greta Garbo so we took some amazing shots in Dolores Park and the San Francisco Ferry Building capturing the Muni streetcars rolling by. We can't wait for their wedding on June 6th!
