Wright's Station Vineyard & Winery Engagement Photography in Los Gatos, CA | Neda and Saam

I first photographed Neda and Saam last year in downtown Los Gatos, which is where Neda grew up, and then down at Capitola Beach where we witnessed the prettiest, pink sunset. Check out the photos here! We had also hoped to visit Wright's Station Vineyard & Winery but due to some terrible traffic, we didn't have time. Luckily, we were able to go back and finally capture the two of them in the Santa Cruz Mountains at Wright's Station, which is just plain gorgeous, with it's green vines and lavender bushes. We had so much fun together and it was a great way to get to know each other even more before their big day at the Sainte Claire Hotel in San Jose. Is it August yet?!

San Francisco Engagement Photography at Potrero Hill, Lover's Lane, and Pier 7 | Lauren and Ryan

Lauren and Ryan wanted to keep their engagement shoot, light, fun and iconically San Francisco. We started the shoot on Portrero Hill and while the wind was strong, and the chill was freezing, you couldn't tell because of the smiles on their faces! They were such troopers, game for anything! We then moved on to Lover's Lane where we able to capture more intimate portraits of the two. I always enjoy these more intimate sessions where the love and excitement between a newly engaged couple is so palpable. Our final stop was Pier 7 where we captured them in front of the beautiful, skyline of San Francisco.

Half Moon Bay Ritz Carlton Marriage Proposal Photography | Annie &Bernie

There is no greater joy than witnessing the utter and unabashed happiness of your family and close friends. This surprise proposal was just that for me.  Annie has been a longtime friends of mine from my UC Santa Barbara days and I have gotten to know Bernie through the years as Annie’s other half.  These two are an absolute perfect match for each other and oh their love, their love is so refreshingly real, honest and pure, without any pretensions or fluff, you know, the kind of love that endures. And Bernie’s proposal, well, it was the perfect reflection of this honest love. Just the two of them, a weekend beach giveaway no extravagant fanfare, just a simple question, a beautiful setting and heartfelt joy.  

I especially love the photo of them high-fiving each other because it is such an accurate reflection of their relationship.  Definitely not a typical shot you’d see during a proposal but one that really shows the goofy and supportive nature of their relationship.

I have always loved being a part of surprise proposals and well when it’s that of your close friend, it really doesn’t get much better! Thank you for allowing me to be part of this special moment  and a HUGE congrats to my good friends, Annie and Bernie!

Romantic Carmel Engagement Photography in Carmel, CA | Violet and Romel

Violet and Romel were born to be on camera! These two gorgeous human beings took me all around Carmel for their engagement session where we had a great time exploring some of the little city's most beautiful areas. Mission Carmel was by far one of my favorite spots, especially in the springtime when all of the flowers are blooming. I also loved that Violet and Romel were up for anything and willingly stopped along the road when we saw a picturesque area. Sometimes those spots off the beaten path are just the best!

I can already tell that their August wedding will be one for the books and I cannot wait!
