San Francisco, Muir Beach Family Portrait Photographer

I first met Melissa and her wonderful family last year when we did a family portrait session in San Francisco. We shot them wandering the streets of the Mission district for a fun, urban look. This year, Melissa wanted to do something more soft and romantic with a nautical theme so we decided upon Muir Beach!

When I arrived at the beach, I noticed that everyone seemed to be running back to their cars. They were saying that the wind was blowing so hard it hurt! Since there was no cell phone reception there, I had no way of warning Melissa! When I ventured down to the water, it really was like a sandstorm.

I just have to mention how much I love Melissa's energy. She is so upbeat and sweet and goes above and beyond to make the photos perfect. She gave Zach and Lainee a pep talk before going out to the beach, going over the game plan so we could get some great images quickly! Despite the crazy wind blowing water and sand in every which direction, we ended up with some really great shots! Lainee was so good, even though I had her climbing rocks with the water spraying everywhere. It is so fun to see how much she has grown since last year!

Thanks Melissa, Zach and Lainee for being troopers! Can't wait to see what's in store for next year!
